which may be critical and those which are complimentary, are very useful in ensuring that we
perform our mission efficiently, effectively, and professionally.

You may share a compliment verbally by contacting the Office of the Chief of Police at
(804) 412-0600. You may be asked if we can direct your call to the on-duty supervisor or commander
in order to better determine the officer whose assistance you are commending.

To make a COMPLAINT, you may choose from one of the following communication options:
You are not required to make a written complaint for the Police Department to investigate the conduct
or actions of an employee. If you choose, you may make a complaint in writing (typically a letter)
to preserve a record of your report. You may deliver your complaint in person or mail it to (you will receive a written reply to your complaint):
